In order to be more eco-friendly, the world is starting to steer away from plastic and straws are one of the main things people are trying to find replacements for. Today I tried a few different options (Agave, wheat, pasta, and bamboo) to see which ones are the best alternatives.

Imagine drinking your beverage then slurping your spaghetti straw like a closing snack

Best thing about bamboo straws is that they’re incredibly easy to manufacture, because when in the right climate, bamboo grows at a terrifying rate. As in, if you stay quiet in a bamboo forest, you can literally hear the bamboo stalks grow around you, they grow that quick. Oh and they’re biodegradable, that’s also a plus.

The paper straws I’ve had in a few instances always get soggy and break just like that, I’d love to use bamboo ones

Bamboo is really an underrated renewable resource. It grows incredibly fast and incredibly sustainably, and it has a ton of unique utilitarian properties.

Just from the first glance I got in this video, I think the agave fiber and bamboo straws would be my top picks for plastic/paper straw alternatives!

Bamboo and agave straws seem like a really good use for them. A pizzeria near my house has started using agave straws in their drinks. Even a breakfast restaurant near me even started doing this!

Oli spills occur weekly but at least the turtle will eat a plastic bag instead of a plastic straw.

I have bamboo straws, there great, durable, light, and adds no taste. The only thing is that if you leave them in water for too long they will absorb it and mold. But as long as you dry them after washing and don't leave them in a drink then I recommend it.
