I’ve also seen that these straws were originally intended to be for accessibility! For people with disabilities that impact motor skills and their abilities to do things like lift a cup to their mouth or use a normal straw properly

It's not that hard to use a regular straw without pursing your lips. Those look like they're asking to grow mold inside them.

The only real reasons to use a straw is to drink ice drinks (like an icee) or to prevent staining your teeth with coffee or tea. This does neither. It still requires you to pucker unless your entire mouth goes over it (which is also bad for wrinkles) and it's many times more difficult to clean than any other reusable straw. 0/10 instantly going into the landfill.

You could always drink through a regular straw but at the corner of your mouth. You won't pucker and the straw can go past your teeth so you don't have to worry about all that acid from soda

The straw cancels the advantage of having a straw when it comes to dental health: acidic drinks not necessarily hitting the teeth. If you want the advantage advertised, just drink from the glass

Yep, the only reason I use straws is to avoid getting soda on my teeth, and those don’t seem to prevent that…. and I don’t even have to purse my mouth, I just wrap my tongue around it 😂😂😂

I actually don't even pucker my lips when I drink, I purse them flat, like when you're rubbing in your lipstick or chapstick. Does anyone else do that?
