In this episode of the Lung Cancer Living Room, Sarah Goldberg, MD, MPH, Chief of Thoracic Oncology at Yale Cancer Center speaks with Danielle Hicks, Chief Patient Officer at GO2 for Lung Cancer about exciting new developments from this year's ASCO conference. They start by discussing new discoveries related to early stage lung cancer - particularly as it relates to adjuvant, neoadjuvant and perioperative therapies. Specifically they discuss additional insights revealed from the ADAURA study, and findings related to using immunotherapy in early stage patients. They then discuss a number of new trials related to biomarkers including EGFR, KRAS, ROS1, BRAF. A whole new category of therapy, antibody drug conjugates, and specifically the encoraging findings from the TROPION-Lung02 trial. And the two discuss an even newer therapy option for patients - tumor treating fields - which involve the wearing of a device on the chest, sides and back that emits electrical fields which have shown positive and promising results in a recent clinical trial. This is an episode filled with new treatment options emerging for lung cancer patients, and plenty of hope on the horizon.
