Americans like alfredo sauce because it's a cheese sauce and we love cheese.

When I lived in Germany the Germans asked why we invaded other countries, why obesity is so high and why only two political parties exist.

You get the easy questions! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would have been like “No, totally inaccurate. We also use the blue ones.” 🤣

I can identify with the accidentally suggestive joke 😅

It depends on the toilet. If it is the older (still common) style, the water level will be high. If it is a new water-efficient model, the water level will be low. I assume Italy switched to water-efficient toilets sooner (or more widely) than the US.

Alfredo was an act of love. The man who made it, his wife was pregnant and it's all she could eat. ❤

The English Wiki article on "fettucine Alfredo" is a solid read.

Alfredo is a sauce made by Alfredo, from Rome, for his convalescent wife. It's an actual Italian invention, although the Americans sometimes change it a tad.

I've had both high and low water levels in the toilet. And I actually prefer more water because there is less cleaning. The lower the water is, the more often I seem to have to clean the inside of the bowl.

Where I’m from the water is high too💔German toilets were the best toilets I’ve experienced. No splatter back😅

Actually, the Fettuccine Alfredo were invented in Rome, Italy, but unlike the American version they were made with only fettuccine, parmesan cheese and butter, they are simple but creamy and delicious. It's not really a popular dish nowadays in Italy tho.❤

Alfredo sauce was invented in Rome, Italy. It was actually very popular in Rome so I’m not sure why it gets hated on so much by Italians. lol

As an American, I find it hilarious that other countries find it hilarious that we do in fact use red solo cups 🤣🤣 (usually off-brand though cause it's cheaper lol)

The creamy white alfredo sauce is an invention of Olive Garden. But it comes from the Italian dish Fettuccine al Burro originally. The name "Alfredo" was from a man named Alfred Di Lilio in Rome because his style became popular where he made it with triple butter, thus Fettuccine Alfredo (or Fettuccine All'Alfredo). Devi leggere la storia, è molto interessante :)

My son would eat Alfredo sauce everyday if he could.

Alfredo was a restauranteur in Rome, and he made fettuccine al burro for his wife who had just given birth and needed comfort food that was easy on the stomach.

Americans have a drinking song called "Red Solo Cup" so, definitely apart of their culture.

I’d throw that last one back to them. Isn’t Alfredo a guy who left Italy and came to NYC?! We like it so much because it’s full of cream, garlic and butter! Why don’t you like it? Also, I’ve never used a red solo cup....
It’s a college thing.
