Actually, the more you stretch resolution horizontally, the faster they appear to move.
But it's just a placebo, because enemy will come out of cover in the same same amount of time in any resolution, but since they are thicker, they need to "move faster" to come out of cover in the same amount of time.
Streched resolution makes easier to hit standing targets at high range and playing pixel angles, also additional bonus is that it gives little bit of more fps.

11:50 I have many Problems with this video but the big thing here is the FPS limit. When you dont have a FPS limit your PC pushes as much as it can do. But the Problem is, your PC is running other things to. Just Windows and your PC fans could be a Problem on lower end PCs. A Program does something and your PC need a bit power of your GPU or CPU. The Problem there is that you feel the Change in FPS. For most PCs its not the Problem of Hitting for example 144FPS. The Hard thing is keeping it there. If it drops you fell it. 50 FPS is much more playable than 90FPS often Dropping to 70. The Differenz is the Problem. And back to The FPS limiter, when you take that used Power from the game you get such a drop in FPS. Thats why you should but the limiter at a Frame rate you PC can hold stable.

Me trying to find most of these on console 💀

having your fps limit on unlimited is actually bad. you can get frame drops because of it, its better having your fps limit 1 option above your monitors refresh rate or the same, as it will push to that number and be more consistent.

A point on realism, the headphones that many operators wear would, in real life, behave exactly like night mode audio, since the headphones naturally muffle loud sounds and will only play quiet sounds around you.

Nightmode compress the sound, and its annoying when the shots and blows are muffled due to compression (to keep quiet)

that whole section about 4:3 res is entirely BS btw, play what you prefer.

Ngl that first hint is something I always wanted to know how to turn off. Had abbandoned the game for more than a year but I'm coming back now, glad to find this video

man im one of those people that will ride or die with HiFI too me the sound never makes me screw up on gunfights. When i did switch too NM i couldnt get a kill or know where anybody is at anytime so after around 3 weeks of using it i changed back and found success instantly

I think it's 2 sides, 16:9 see with a wider fov so you have less blindspots than using 4:3 with a thicker view but tighter fov.

I would also suggest making your red dot more translucent for easier tracking. Having your red dot hard colored it can be somewhat obstructing but thats a personal opinion. i put the opacity around 44, Great video btw!

Just pointing out that VRAM does not affect performance. Loading textures into memory takes a ton of VRAM but only affects FPS on a decimal level if at all. (however going ABOVE your VRAM may cause stuttering or crashes)

Also, more FPS does not mean better. Your FPS should match your screen HZ or get as close to it as you can.
So a 144hz screen you would benefit the most from 144 fps.

Higher FPS does mean a hotter GPU as well because it has to render more frames, which means your GPU will die quicker. Heat = Bad.
VRAM is only shown so that you do not exceed the VRAM available to you, because the game will often crash if you go above what you have.

HUGE thumbs down for recommending people to turn off FPS limiter.

night mode sure balances audio but makes distance and overall judgement much harder. Found myself having a much better time on hifi once I tried Nightmode

Night mode makes it significantly more difficult to hear directional noises due to the much higher compression rate compared to hi-fi. Many professional players say that night mode is a good beginner setting, but that hi-fi gives you a significant advantage if you are able to listen through the explosion sfx.

A couple of things about the graphics settings. Changing the game quality to low often ended up reducing the amount of frames I was getting. In fact, I couldn't get my average up to 142 frames until I downloaded the ultra HD texture pack, with low texture settings I was getting like 80 on average.

I spent a few hours doing benchmark tests to see which settings actually eeked out the most frames, and counterintuitively, I was getting more frames the higher the texture quality was, reflections and shadows still ate my processing power unnecesarily.

Turning anti-aliasing off actually reduced my framerates too. This may be because of render scaling, since I have that set to the lowest setting.

“You’re only saving 2-3 seconds when going into your drone automatically so it’s not even worth it”
“You save 2-3 seconds that can mean so much”

Some of the tips I had never heard of before, the only one I am not going to follow is the FPS Limit one, my PC does not have any running issues but it does make a hell of a loud coil whine when I don't limit my FPS, and also my monitor has a 75hz refresh rate, so not limiting it is just useless

Night mode confuses me with the distances of all sounds. After switching to hifi mode, I started playing more comfortably, at least I can understand who is at what distance.
