Journey Into the Human Brain: An In-Depth Guide to Your Amazing Brain!

Here it is! Another video essay no one asked for but I spent hours making anyway!

In this video, we take a deep-dive into the workings of the human brain. My aim was to provide a crash course in basic neuroscience, but also include some lesser-known stuff that is a little more cutting edge. This stuff absolutely fascinates me, so I hope it does you!

Understanding the brain isn't just cool though, it's also useful if you want to get the most from your grey matter. Understanding how things works gives you the tools you need to optimize, train, adapt, and grow. And simply knowing why you remember some things better, or why you get overwhelmed at times, can help you to intellectualise it and gain control.

Did I miss anything? Let me know in the comments and thanks for watching, as always!

You know this guy is working on the equipment that turned Logan into Wolverine in his basement. The infio on this channel is gold, the visuals/graphics are badass. Music is very fitting, like a ‘code your mind hack your life control the hologram ‘ vibe

Positive self talk is the key to building that inspiration needed to take action towards everything outside your comfort zone.
Once your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions are all aligned on one single goal that’s when real miracles happen.

Given the amount of notes to "follow up upon", this is a masterpiece of an introduction. Now up to finding articles, books, etc...
Love your channel. Keep it going.

This video is awesome as always, Adam! I loved the parkour video too. It's nice to see you tackle new skills.

I'd love to see a video on time management. I bet a lot of people like your stuff but have a difficult time integrating it all on a consistent basis. I know I'm one.

Thank you for all your hard work!

Yesss! I love your brain content man. So excited to see it when you posted it. Had to click ASAP! I want to make a full dive VR device in the brain through invasive BCI so I love all the good neuro content you put out there!! Keep it up :D

I learned all of this in a college neuroscience class but this video made it much more interesting!

Very extensive video! Probably worth spending a little time on the microglia that was briefly touched on here. These aren't just run of the mill support cells in the brain. Microglia are truly brain localised immune cells! There's a large body of growing evidence which shows these little cells are a huge driver of neuro-inflammation. In the short term this can lead to fatigue, memory issues, low-mood, etc. While in the long term this can lead to true mood-disorders, as well as dementia of various sorts (with evidence for an important role in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's). Although for the bio-hacker this information only amounts to trivia, we should appreciate how even small amounts of neuro-inflammation can results in pretty great changes to our mood, our subjective experience of day-to-day life, our ability to react and respond, as well as our ability to exert our selves physically (all body movements are neuro-muscular after all)! Best way to reduce neuro-inflammation, get sleep, meditate, exercise, and eat a clean diet.

My belief is that the brain is likely some kind of receiver, conciousness in its purest form is outside of us. It is a brilliant piece of machinery though.

Hi Adam, could you perhaps do a review on relational frame theory/training and IQ?

“My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists.”

-Nikola Tesla

His quote made me question my christianity then my atheism and then agnosticism until i found myself in pantheism, i don't believe it fully also but it makes the most sense of them all.

Awesome video! As always you cover a complex subject and make it understandable and accessible. I’ve been watching a lot of Professor Andrew Huberman’s videos recently and this video certainly helps to understand the underlying neuroscience. Can’t wait for more videos like this!!

Why does this have so few views?
Great content, this integration, depth and breadth is what the bioneer is about for me.
