James Cordon really doesn't surprise me, there are tons of stories about him being super rude and snobby towards both fans and staff

Fun fact: Celebrities don't have to agree to hug and take photos with their fans if they don't want to. As a fan you should respect their space and let them live their lives.

Edit: Alright paying for a meet and greet is different but if they are out on the street ( which is what I mean) don't crowd them and be polite. If they are rude there could be reasons but if they are straight up rude still leave them alone.

for avril, she was fighting lyme disease at that time but she didn’t know that she had it and they were still figuring it out. She didn’t know if the illness she had was contagious or not and so that’s why she distanced her self sometimes from the fans during meet and greets

I've heard also about Ellen from the Ellen show that she's quite similar to James Corden where she only looks like she really cares when the camera was rolling but not so much afterwards.

I just wanna say I met Avril Lavigne when I was 14. She was extremely nice even though my grandma took the picture and didn’t know how to use a digital camera so we stood there smiling for a good 10 min awkwardly until my grandma finally took the picture. I had a pleasant experience meeting her and she was super sweet about it and she’s so gorgeous in real life even more than the pictures. I don’t know about other people’s experiences meeting her but she was so kind and sweet with me so I just wanted to put that out there haha

Avril is so sweet. Years ago, my cousin went to see her at a concert and at the end, she waited at the backstage door to ask Avril to sign her shirt. The time for signing was over though and she didn’t think it was gonna happen. But a security guard saw my cousin, took her to the backstage room Avril was in and she signed it for her, with no problems. Even sat and spoke to her for a few minutes. Avril is so sweet.

To be honest, I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to hug a stranger! Might be a fan and I know that without fans they are nothing, but it definitely goes against everything in my body to be getting too close to a stranger. And I think that fans should respect that. They are only human with different preferences!

So a lot of people have been commenting that celebs shouldn't refuse hugs and pictures If fans have paid just for it. I do agree with this, I meant cases where it wasn't planned or it was unreasonable

There was a story about James Corden and his wife and child on an airplane. Passengers said that he made his wife carry their carry on's and their child ( while the child was crying) and he absolutely refused to help her in any way

I think every individual needs their own personal space . We literally have no idea, through what phase of their life they're going through. Staying around cameras and people like literally all the time isnt easy . Understand with some compassion.
