He seems so different to how I remember him as president. He comes across here as humble, humorous and human.

He has painting skills. First lady is supportive of her husband's art hobby and it is nice to see a graceful lady. And to honor veterans who got injuries from the wars.

I like his artistic style with the heavy brush strokes and the vivid colors. I also enjoy his orating. His eulogy of his father was sweet and heartfelt without being sappy. He often appears to get a twinkle in his eye and appears as though he's about to smirk. That didn't translate well when he was president; it came off comical, even disrespectful. But in his post president life, he seems like someone you'd want hang with.

I really like him as a person, he seems to be a good human being. I didn’t agree with his choices as president but I respect him as a person.

I was on a flight next to one of George's earlier staff members, before he became President. At first, I thought "Oh Jeez" but I listened to his story (he was no longer part of the staff) and he talked about his respect for the then president. He totally changed my mind and I realized that I may not always agree with a leader's policy and decisions but I can still respect the person.

I love how, as an older guy, he took up painting which was outside of his experience at the time

As a painter (and Veteran)I’m so happy he’s entered into a non-violent preoccupation.

He has done so much for people suffering from AIDS/HIV on the Continent of Africa that he has made me proud of him and my country!

Watching (from the UK ) this video and Mr Bush's eulogy for John McCain, what a warm, articulate person he is.
The Bush's friendship with Obama's made me smile and shows everyone what ever part of the political spectrum you stand you must stand together for the great good of all.

I had the pleasure of meeting President Bush before he became President sometime in 2000. My friends mom worked for him while he was governor here in Texas. I can tell you my first impression of him was that he really cared. I was struck by how genuine he actually was and I can promise you, he didn't send people to war without a heavy heart. He is a very genuine man and I'm glad people are finally getting to see the true side of him.

As long as he is doing good work for our vets, I will now support him. I feel like I wish I could meet him now, and talk about how I am sorry for my misgivings in the past. If he truly shares a passion for helping Americans in the present, especially our warriors, then I want to feel positive toward him as well.

After seeing this, I really wouldn't mind sitting down and drinking a beer with him. He seems like a really nice guy to hang out with.

Now imagine all he has seen, heard in his years of presidency that he'd come to a point to say - "I need to paint to get it out of my system "...he grew as a human

I met him in Kennebunk years ago at Barbara’s bday party. He was so down to earth in that cart hart jacket I’ll never forget talking w him, it was a true honor. Just a cool guy. I wonder if he still goes to Maine and paints there.

9:58 Basically he says: 'I am not going to tell the president what to do, however at the Bush center we appreciate values that help others no matter where they are from...'
Good point :)
