You dont have to flash the opposite way as it could affect ur teamates especially on attack but if you want to flash dont hug the wall but stay a little further away from the wall and you should be facing diagonally, you can then flash without worrying about flashing urself and also swing faster

I'm not a Phoenix main but isn't the first flash not usable if you're pushing with your teammates?

You'll be flashing your teammates and then peeking alone, that's way riskier that just flashing normally and then peeking together. Especially if there are multiple enemies and you can't kill all of them in time. I'm not even talking about the possibility of somebody playing anti flash.

All in all, I think it's a good flash if you're alone but a duelist playing on their own without any support from their teammates usually means instant death unless you diff your enemies hard. Phoenix doesn't even have an escape option like Jett or Reyna so playing solo is just too risky.
