I went into this album expecting more traditional songs like his last 2 albums, so after my 1st listen i was disappointed because I already built it up in my head. Ive since listened to the album straight through 15 times probably and it's incredible.

My favourite album from james is the first one. He was so open creatively and so unbound by convention it was like a breath of fresh air. The new album has that same spirit of fearless experimentation and openness to sonic discovery which is why james is your favourite musicians favourite musician. Totally brilliant james.
