I love how the cutscene goes directly to the song. Modders should start using this more often for surprise factor.

To anyone curious who wants a full backstory on this song:

This is a reference to STC (Sonic the Comic) back years ago. There's this one scene that fans have grown to love that has inspired this song.

First thing to notice: the background. Sonic had come here to visit Porker Lewis (the pig on the right throughout the song) at Knuckle's little uh-- chaos-emerald-holding-place. (Not 100% sure why). Anyways, Sonic begins a conversation with Porker about why he's here and Porker explains that he misses him and Amy. Sonic quickly shuts him up, saying "Don't even mention her name! She's been annoying lately" or something similar to that. As he's saying this, he sits down along the edge next to the "pit", I suppose, of the chaos emeralds.

Now, the voice at the beginning. This voice comes from a character that is protecting that area. They are saying "intruders!" Because they accidentally confuse Sonic and Porker as intruders. This startles Sonic and he falls off the edge in a panic.

The reason why Sonic turns Super is because he lands next to all of the chaos emeralds, which radiate energy that Sonic can't exactly control in the comics, which is my next point. In Sonic The Comic, Super Sonic has basically the exact opposite nature of Super Sonic in the video games. Super Sonic in the comics has a totally separate personality and being within Sonic, as he is much more demonic and constantly feels the need to destroy and kill Sonic's friends (basically a canon Sonic.exe). This is exactly what happens in this scene. In the comics, Super Sonic instantly feels the need to destroy and remembers talking about Amy earlier as Sonic, and instantly speeds towards her to destroy her for fun's sake. Of course in the song, he just battles boyfriend. As well as the singular beam that boyfriend has to dodge in the song, this is a reference to Super Sonic's ability to shoot lasers out of his eyes, something regular Sonic obviously cannot do.

That should pretty much explain everything. If you want to know the entire backstory of this unique Super Sonic (which I highly recommend, it's actually really enjoyable), then there's an hour long video by Sonic The Comic Reviews explaining the entire history of Super Sonic within Sonic The Comic, called "Every Super Sonic Appearance" or something like that. I'll put the link in the replies.

Interesting lore detail: I don't think a single other character in the Fleetway comics had a Super form. It makes sense Super Sonic's reaction to Boyfriend going Super would be shock followed by outrage.

the spacebar mechanic being used once is really funny to me, because its more of a handicap than actually having it throughout the song. You cant focus on the notes because you’re so terrified of it popping up again.

I like how he says " let's see how fast you can really go", but the only test of speed that happens is the laser, meanwhile sanic is the fastest charted song in the mod

I like how Fleetway goes from confident and taunt-like, to surprised when Boyfriend turns Super, then mad that Boyfriend’s mocking him with his Super form.

I like the fact that the creators didn't needed to make him more scary or an exe version, his story on stc (the official sonic comics) and personality is already really dark enough.

Fun fact: The reason why the Fleetway Super Sonic laser mechanic only shows up once is because, "Apparently adding one more laser crashes the game". So that means adding one more spacebar mechanic crashes the game so that's why there's only one laser during Chaos.

I bet we all have our opinions or share the same likings, but Chaos is the best song to come out of this mod, both ignoring the campaign songs with Sonic.EXE and, in my opinion, alongside Cycles and Sunshine.

The opening cutscene is really golden, the opening nearly replicating the original scene in the comics. Everything else goes uphill from here: The Death Quotes are comical, Fleetway's Voice is golden between him mocking the player and getting furious as the song plays out, and ESPECIALLY Boyfriend going super mid-song. The look on Fleetway's face and his reaction was great enough to get a laugh out of me.

All that said, this song makes my top 7 and this mod definitely takes the gold for me hands down.

I like how sonic isn't actively trying to kill BF here. Its more like hes just singing but attacks once he thinks about it. Similar to how fleetway was pretty dumb but was strong enough to make up for it.

I like how we got only one glimpse at an actual sonic and he falls into a pit and turns into an evil maniac as soon as we see him.

Dude this song slaps and his voice lines so good.And the rhythm of the song it’s just so good. It sounds like something from an actual sonic game.10/10 for this mod!
