I love your enthusiasm and teaching style! I'm trying to learn Arabic because I'm an English teacher to many very low-level Syrian students. The more Arabic I learn, the more I can help my students. Cheers

OMG. I've been trying to learn Arabic over the last 10 years. Even went to night classes.

Tried then stopped, then tried again then gave up.
Seriously, this short video connected with me and I UNDERSTOOD!

Finally, I found my mentor! I'm so happy.

The best video for beginners to learn the alphabet on youtube. Arabic is a hard HARD language to learn but it's also one of the most beautiful, rewarding languages to learn.

Maha, THANK YOU so much for posting all these amazing videos.... its like being a a real Arabic course for free! I am Egyptian but grew up in Canada, and only can understand my family's casual Egytpian Dialiect.  I am hoping to improve enough to be able to understand the news and be able to communicate fluently in arab countries.  I have been learning a bit on my own using the book Alif Baa and "Mastering Arabic", but I find myself now, always watching your videos before anything else.  Very helpful, and it's great that you are also so positive, funny and a pleasure to watch! And your teaching methods and style are very easy to follow, but still informative and thorough.  Thanks sooo much again!!!

My nine year old decided to learn Arabic and we have started using your videos along with Arabic Sesame Street YouTube clips as well. We LOVE your methods! Out of many to choose from he really understands your videos. We're starting off small but are trying to get to a point where we can incorporate some of the newer, more current video material! Thank you!!!

I was having trouble remembering where the dots go and how many there were for each letter. I re-arranged them to make it easier. Ba = B=Below one dot, Ya=Below two dots, Noon is one dot above, Ta =Two Above(mnemonic), Tha = THree Above(mnemonic). Hope this helps someone else.

PS Thank you for the lessons Maha. I want to understand Arab culture and I feel the best way to start is to learn the language....actually eating their food (falafel)got me interested in the culture...lol.

As a teacher myself I really appreciate a lesson that doesn't start off naming all the letters at the start. In English it's best to start with S A T P I N and you've done the exact same thing in Arabic. It's made it SOOO much easier for me. In fact, I've looked at a few professional learning programs, some of them $400-$500 and none of them did this! You're obviously a very good teacher.
Thank you very much.
