... I saw many complains about the shimmer of Boss RV-6, that it is bad, not good enough or too aggressive - and many sets on youtube are aggressive when you put the tone knob around 12 o' clock or more - BUT SET THE TONE KNOB on shimmer function at 9 o' clock or even less, or depending on one's taste maybe a little more than 9 o' clock - you can get a very beautiful shimmer with less in the face aggressive octave - and it is very close to the Strymon's or Immerse and as good as theirs ... BOSS RV-6 is a treasure in my opinion, especially the Modulate function is really very beautiful ...

Hey man i watched a few of ur Videos nice work!! I have one question: What Reverb can you recommend in a price 70-150? I play a DSL 40cr. I like to gently dial in a good room sound that makes Distortion bigger, and maybe an good quality ambient sound, i want that for Intros looking for rv6 or a hof2. The Hof2 seems liken it lacks quality tonewise. Also there is the foxgear rainbow only very few details on the internet. What is your opinion of the two for my rig, and what would you take? can sombody tell me the differences between the reverb and the delay pedal? i couldn't hear any differences between both of them since they both have the same kind of sound

Need a reverb pedal but in my opinion as soon as you become aware that a reverb pedal is in use, your tone is ruined. Natural and discrete is what i need. Anyone know if this pedal can put the b in subtle? All vids just turn it up to mayhem in a subway mode!

I like more the TC Electronics one. The individual reverb, sounds better and more distinct. If the spring and the plate sound is so similar, i have bad news for Boss.

I hear some folks out there say they hate reverb pedals, or the reverb sound.  IMHO guitarist over use reverberation all over their playing to the point they bore people with their sound or bore themselves or both.  Reverb should be used only in some parts where you want to emphasize a phrase, ending, or somewhere in between.  The same goes with delay, it should be used here and there, and not all the time.  This way you get audience attention and enjoy yourself too.

I have mixed emotions about this pedal. I'm actually in the market for a reverb pedal. I'm hearing some cools kinds and some sounds that I don't think interest me too much.

i plugged my rv6 in front of 333xl amp but in lead sounds so bad. and dirty!!! how can i use this pedal with fx loop?

I am still in the market for a reverb pedal, and I am tons confused.  what you guys mean by shimmer? this Boss is absolutely sounds very natural and has that foot pedal to step on with bare foot or with shoes on, unlike the little stub on the HOF. So what is the verdict? HOF, Boss R6, or Hardwire reverb? thanks
