Technically the BEST solo gold farm... | Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 has a lot of solo gold farms and some of them are lesser known or forgotten about. Since Path of Fire's release this has been a very lucrative way to get certain account bound materials tied to meta events, legendary bounties, etc. completely solo and without needing a special build, class, specialization or gear.

That makes this, in my opinion, a really solid farm. But you need to accept some of the downsides: you can only do this for 20 minutes every 2 hours and the most valuable items are not meant to be sold for gold (bar a few exceptions ranging from 1 to 30 gold per item). Instead, you can acquire Elegy Mosaics which will help tremendously with crafting generation 2 legendary weapons or the legendary trinket Vision and the legendary ring Coalescence.

Getting ascended recipes for free is also a very big bonus, as well as Trade Contracts, which can be spent on various items and achievements.
If RNG is in your favor and you do get one of the big items (Khadiri's Music Box or one of the named weapons), your gold per hour will have been more than worth it.

This is also one of the rare farms where you can enjoy the different mounts to the fullest. Whether you prefer flying around on your Skyscale, or Gryphon or racing around on your Roller Beetle or Raptor. Mastery of your mounts, will directly impact the amount of treasure you will uncover.

So we have to appreciate this farm for what it is: a really solid solo option that gives you access to certain specific materials and recipes that aren't always easy to obtain. Be it when playing alone or with a party.

This is also a solid way to farm trade contracts which can be used to buy trinkets with Harrier (healing) stats in Vabbi.

I like to use contracts in Vabbi. It's a small map with multiple great Griphon starting points making it VERY easy to traverse if you have that mount and jade bot glider mod - you can cover like 2/3 of the map in less than 30 seconds using only Market Ruins and Vehjin palace waypoints and flying from there... oh, and overwhelming majority of chest spawns below your starting points. With that being said.... I had no idea there is an event regarding those, never connected the dots, thank you so much :D

note that if you plan to craft yourself a gen2 or sell one, this provide a non timegated way to gather mats for a bottleneck in the craft. I'll incorporate it in my routine until I have enough for what I want, I play very sporadically but over time I really advanced on vision and I hate doing hearts.

I've been playing this game for more than 4 years now and only now I see how quick it is possible to change from skyscale to griffon, damn thats smooth.
I usually end up gliding in between before i swap to griffon for some reason (now with the lvl3 gliding booster it's a nice way to gain some extra height)

The buried treasure hunt has been my go-to gold making activity for well over five years, and it always surprised me that I was usually the only person doing it.

Although there is some luck involved getting some of the rarer items such as the music box, djinn minis and Zehtuka recipies, on average I make between 20-50 gold a day (I average finding 40-43 chests per event).
