As someone who is not a die hard LP fan I'll give my unbiased 2 cents...

Having listened to the new music and the old music with Chester, there is quite an obvious comparison.

- with Chester the music sounds depressed, sad and like it's full of dispare. That being said that doesn't mean the music was bad.

- with emily LP definitely a new sound. The music doesn't sound depressing and sad like it did with Chester. it sounds like there is life in the sound, hope, living...


Personally i like both versions of LP, but i completely understand why die hard fans do not like the new LP, but it's no different than other bands changing their sound and style as they age, sometimes these things happen.
