The Most Pathetic Apology of the Month

A podcaster with 150 Twitter followers complained to Podcast Movement about Ben Shapiro's presence at their Dallas conference, so they issued an apology that I was convinced was satire. We're all laughing but there are some very dark implications to the idea that a conservative's mere "presence" can "cause harm".

There will be no justice in this world until Matt gets his rightfully earned stuffed walrus.

These people pretend that being confronted with someone they dislike is comparable to physical violence causing pain. It's hard to imagine how someone gets through life being that delusional and irrational.

I thought I knew Ben Shapiro. I never would have guessed that he would do such a terrible thing as to steal his stuffed walrus. #justiceforMatt

"My God. He's a monster." I'm in tears right now. This was hilarious.

I like to imagine Ben in a room full of stolen stuffed animals cackling away

Imagine being so frightened of hearing a different point of view.... tragic.

This does not pardon Ben's horrific crime of stealing your stuffed Walrus. Clearly behind that smile, he is a villain.

I absolutely love how Matt can go from deep political thoughts to Ben stealing his walrus in a matter of seconds. Hilarious.

The Media portraying the event: "Everyone was visibly shaken by his presence! He was not welcome there!"
Everyone at the event: "Thanks for coming Ben, love what you stand for."

OMG! Look at the pain and agony on their faces, how did those brave people even survive the encounter with that monster?

People need to realise that pandering and apologising to these people is the worst thing you can do. It's the same as showing weakness to a bully. It'll only make it worse for you.

They do not fear themselves being silenced, they fear we are heard.

The giant walrus scandal never gets old. I love Walsh's demeanor.

These are the people who will put you on a list (cargo manifest) for a train to Siberia. Diversity, inclusion, sensitivity trainings, seminars are "re-education" camp /mental Gulag.

I want to live in a world where people who are psychologically devastated by the mere presence of another person are put in a mental hospital to get help

Ben Shapiro is a pretty smart guy but I didn't know he possessed super powers enabling him to harm people by his mere presence.

wow what a monster. Not only did Ben Shapiro steal Matt Walsh's stuffed walrus but he shows up to a place unannounced where they purchased a booth and...shakes hands with people.

This is so sad . Everyone should be allowed to a convention . Ecspecially Ben and everyone at daily wire. I am sorry for how these people treated you . ❤️

This is, as I always said, for years now, a "social terrorism" and should be called and treated as such. To me that borders something that could be grounds for a law suit. How on earth a person can be accused of causing harm by their own presence without any legal repercussions? Isn't that discrimination against a person? Isn't that just baseless slander to insinuate that a person by its own presence causes harm?
