I'm from Paraguay and the thing about the Brazilian league I like the most is that you're guaranteed rivalry, decisive matches for table position and [so-called] smaller teams dominating a match and upsetting the favorites every round

Have you ever stopped to think, that Fluminense can compete in the super fifa clubs world cup 2025 even though they are in the 2nd division of the Brasileirão?

R9 Ronaldo did a absolutely spectacular Management of Cruzeiro in all of its aspects outside the pitch. He reduced the club's debt from over a billion BRL in 2022 to about 680 million BRL, the debt is also well controlled now with a whole planning on how to completely pay it in the next few years. He also prioritized repairing and maintaining all of Cruzeiro's infrastructure and training place, and lastly, Cruzeiro did achieve some important milestones during his time there such and being the fastest club to assure it's place on the top nacional legue ever since it changed to the current format, classifying for copa do Brasil, classifying for the suda americana etc.

It is true that he brought a lot of player that were almost average on their best days, to put it lightly, but the main reason for that was how Cruzeiro couldn't take any risk with its astronomical debt and Ronaldo himself didn't have that kind of money to pump into the club.

He did it all in less that 2.5 years, and realised that the major issue to be dealt with now was the fact the Cruzeiro's fan are demanding better players and better performance when playing. As he had done his part and couldn't afford the new changes Cruzeiro needed, he then decided to sell the SAF to Pedro Lourenço, AKA Pedrinho BH, founder and owner of Supermercados BH, one of the largest supermarket chain in the country. Pedrinho is not filthy rich, he's also a long time donor, supporter and sponsor who has already spent some several hundreds millions at the club just to show his passion and see the club he absolutely loves more than anything do better.

Pedrinho just spent about 180-190 million BRL in his first transfer window because:
1- Cruzeiro really needed some players that actually knew what the fuck they are supposed to do on the pitch
2- again, Pedrinho has so much money that he can just do shit like that

Note: the guy you showed on the video is not Pedro Lourenço, but the guy that filled in while the whole paperwork and legal aspects of selling/buying the SAF was being sorted out.

Edit: typos

For those who don't know, while fighting for the title again this year, Palmeiras still has to face Flamengo in the Copa do Brasil Ro16 (Brasil's FA Cup) and Botafogo in the Libertadores Ro16. All these matches within 3 weeks, due to the overloaded brazillian calendar. In these 3 weeks, Palmeiras also faces Flamengo, São Paulo and Internacional for the brasileirao.
Hardest sequence of South America right now.

I think Europeans would have a lot of fun watching the Brasileirão, maybe more than we have watching the Premier League, the Bundesliga, or La Liga. We have to sell it worldwide.

The Brasileirão is without a doubt the biggest league championship in the Americas, the most exciting and unpredictable of all.

Botafogo led the Brasileirão 2023 for over 20+ consecutive matches, and their downfall started mainly in their defeat against Palmeiras, in which they suffered a 3-4 comeback (leading 3-0 into halftime). In the end, Botafogo finished 5th, and manage to qualify for the play-offs of the Libertadores (at last, being for the first time in the tournament after 7 years).

Nonetheless, Botafogo had a big improvement in the Brasileirão, having returned to the league after winning the second division in 2021.

2:35 Actually, this guy in the photo is Pedro Martins, The ronaldo's football director when he was cruzeiro's owner. The actual owner of Cruzeiro is Pedro Lourenço, owner of the "Supermercados BH"

I know that the Brazilian League dont have the Top Elite Players, but the Atmosphere and Emotion of a Brasileirão Match beat any Match of Premier League, I dont know most of the Premier League matches feels so plastic and gourmet to me, it seems they dont have the same passion like the Brazilians.

Brazilian football is becoming more and more random every year.

Dmitri Payet, Coutinho, Luis Suarez, Marcelo, Tiago Silva, Bolasie, lukas moura, Rossi, hulk, diego costa, braithwaite, James rodrigues ...

2:33 That's not Cruzeiros owner. That is Pedro Martins, former director of football, who left a little before R9 sold the club. Otherwise great video. Our league is always very competitive and I love to see that it's finally getting some recognition outside south america. Cheers from 🇧🇷

if you think this is close, just look at the Brasileirão Série B, the difference between 4th and 16th is just 8 points. its only 4 from 4th to 12th and its almost halfway through the season already

Just one correction, the new owner of the cruzeiro is Pedro Lourenço, the man you mentioned is Pedro Martins, former CEO of football
