Things happen here in Thailand that require you to exercise patience on a regular basis. Moving to Thailand is great but you have to get use to some things. Expat life.

Boy for that kind of patience, Gabriel and Michael must come down from heaven and put their hands on your shoulders to keep you from going ballistic! That's angelic-level patience you're talking about

Thanks for the kind brutal honesty. Very useful information, meant to save frustration.

🎶 5 moving trucks, 2 garden helpers, 1 garbage truck, & a partidge in a pear tree! 😅 🇹🇭 love this about patience!

Its the madness of the city which makes it so special :)

Took me a little while to get my head around these things that happen in Chiang Mai.

Thai Time can be a pain in the neck for us westerners. It's fluid in Thailand, rolling with the flow, so gotta keep plans loose.

I have a tip for the situation in which you need to make a u-turn. Apart from being extremely patient, this is what I do: (A) turn your right-turn signal WAY in advance (at least 100 meters before the u-turn point); the traffic behind you in the right-most lane will appreciate it very much and, most of the time, will automatically change to the middle lane if it can and (B) when making the turn, try not to stay in the right-most lane; if the middle lane or the left-most lane is clear, get into it right away without hesitating; the on-coming traffic in the right-most lane will TRULY appreciate you; I know because that is my experience. I hope this helpful.

Thanks for letting me know! Expect the unexpected! As long as I can prepare for the unexpected, I'm good to go!

Oh boy, you are very patient. I am Thai but have been away from Thailand for so long. Even it sounds familiar but everything you said would get on my nerves. I definitely need to have extra patience. 😂😂😂

When I first moved to Chiang Mai 8 years ago, I Learned about JAI YEN YEN. Literally, it means cold heart but basically it means be chill. My internet bill never arrived the first month I was here and I called the former resident of my condo. He told me they will eventually send it and I should Jai yen yen. He was right.

That’s not just patience, that’s the patience of a saint 👼

These sound like great materials for comedy sketches. 😅

Loved the bit about moving house. Had a good laugh. Just an idea, next time order everything for the same time, and going on what you have said, it should work out perfectly 😂

Ha, ha, ha. As a resident of Chiang Mai for the last 17 months I concur with everything you have said in the several videos that I have viewed. My current view is to expect the unexpected. Totally! By doing this you will never be shocked. Logic is in very short supply in Thailand and they can find ways to make even the simplest thing much more difficult.

Your moving experience sounds like a comedy episode.

I hope the hospitals there treat patients with an open mind because if they do it like what happened in your cases its gonna be a real problem. I experienced similar situations when I went there but your scenario was like watching a Laurel and Hardy slapstick episode :))) People are very nice in Thai but things just work differently

The empty package thing is common with Thai's. If you order food and they don't have the ingredient they will often just omit it or replace it with something else and not even tell you. It's the whole mindset of avoiding confrontation.

lazada COD solves that problem, dont risk ID bank theft, that info is not required.

Maya traffic lights require patience

I wouldn't call basic thinking "going the extra mile".
And sending an empty package is a scam. Simple as that.

I love this video. Having myself experienced many of these things you just kind of scratch your head and wonder why does this happen? I believe it is mostly a cultural difference issue, and that is perfectly okay. My favorite one though is when you order food at a restaurant and the waiter ( or owner) comes back later to tell you they are out of the item. Also, I got kick out of it when I was served my dessert first. Thailand, I sincerely still love you and will return again soon.
