Affordable, clean & futuristic! Today I'm taking you on a tour of two capsule hotels in Japan: 9 Hours and First Cabin. You can find them in locations across major cities in Japan, like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. They're redefining the concept of a capsule hotel by introducing elements of design and luxury, while still maintaining a very affordable price point ($40-70/night USD). Capsule hotels are a great option for budget-conscious travellers who want to stay in prime locations.

Every airport should offer these. It's an awful feeling trying to get some shut eye in an airport chair. They actually look really peaceful!

Ah now I realize my hostel in Taiwan was basically a capsule in how the beds were set up in holes just not as fancy lol. Great video Andrew! Now that I see some capsules are for women I just might use one if I travel somewhere new in Japan.

I've stayed in a capsule Ryokan in Kyoto. It was actually quite pleasant! The common room is nice but the best thing about it was how peaceful and clean it was. Also it was cheap!
(personal capsule TV and pull-down blind was nice too).

I would love to see this concept in Europe just to make it easier to travel with a small budget without having to rely on couchsurfing. Et j'adore ton accent en français <3

That futuristic one feels very dystopian; someone should film a sci fi short there!

Maybe if I traveled more often. For me the accommodations are part of what makes my trip. I like room service lol
