Level 25 perk unlocked! Speed strumming

Try leveling off your pick angle (straight down), but slightly twisted. Hold the pick lightly, so it can flex...also a light pick to start with, ...as you improve, you can use a thicker pick.

D du'D' d du'D' du'du' is the strum I'm doing. The accented strums are Capitals and the 'D' are the ghost or percussive strums.

Hey Mark really enjoying the videos! I was kinda teaching myself to play based off songs I've heard, but your strumming series has really improved my playing! I noticed all of the songs you played demonstrating the techniques were really cool and was wondering if you could make a video showing those chords that really go well together. That might just come with experience though I'm not sure. Anyways love the videos! Thanks so much

always had a problem with the pick feeling like it was biting in on the upstroke just watching this lesson stopped it didn't know to use the elbow thank you! now maybe I can finally learn Tequila sunrise by the eagles great strumming song
