I work at the family dollar dc as an order selector. We get a lot of water cases and bags of dog food. I never really see any videos of those. Possible to make any videos on that?

Starting a new gig as a selector for the first time tomorrow afternoon. Man I feel as prepared as I've ever been for any job by binge watching alot of your instructional videos and what not to dos. I'm sure it's still gonna be hard for the first couple weeks and there's no substitute for hands on experience but man I don't feel like I'll be simply training as much as practicing now that I've built up this basic starter code off which to work. Thanks so much for what you do on here and passing on what you've learned my man

Good video tim, tips for building good pallets. For me, density is key. Knowing your cube, a good pallet doesn't end when you deliver it to the door it has to withstand the loader stacking on it and then transit. Knowing how to build your block is key for a good pallet. Guys will follow the pattern on the pallet, not know that block can lead to a bad pallet. Another key tip, more so in bulk warehouse, is basic math. I need 18 cases that are 10 blocked. Simple math two layer of 9 spaced out. There is no need to pick 18 and not be level

5:10. At my warehouse they train people to do it like that because it’s “a high corner” what are your thoughts on that?

I start selecting next week. I’m a little nervous because I am a little older (35 years old). I am used to a fast paced environment because I stocked shelves at a grocery store for 15 years. I just got burnt out working 3rd shift for so many years. This new job starts at 1:45pm till finish (probably midnight). Pretty excited about that. I hope I last! I’m sure I’ll be alright though.

Hey Tim, I was wondering if you had any tips on building a produce pallet? I've been at my warehouse for about a month, and produce is the only thing really holding me back from making standard. it's super frustrating. Thanks in advance!
