CHESTER ZOO Announce HUGE Expansion Plans!! | BRAND NEW Accommodation & More!

In our latest official news update we discuss @chesterzoo's proposals to build 62 brand new lodges within a newly proposed African Savannah zone, a brand new 380 person capacity wedding & events space, a state of the art snow leopard habitat and so much more including a brand new restaurant, a welcome street area and more.

The news comes as Chester Zoo talk to Cheshire Live about how they plan to transform the popular Chester based visitor attraction into a much more family friendly, resort style attraction over the coming years.

Chester Zoo say they plan to invest the additional income generated by their new venture into the continued charity work the zoo carry out and so much more.

Great for you to cover Zoos as well as theme parks, I love animals. I think this will be great for Chester Zoo more and more zoos are providing accommodation now, I think it is a sign of the times they need to diversify in order to survive and make bigger profits so they can carry on feeding the animals, the pandemic hit them so hard because they have so many animals and i think they then knew that they needed more retail etc to keep going. They may also have seen how successful it has been for Yorkshire Wildlife Park. I am glad Chester are having Snow Leopards i think they are such beautiful animals. Just to let you know that at YWP they have got baby Gelada monkeys, five of them, i have been meaning to visit and see then but the wheather has been so cold.
