How to Measure Lines in Autocad | Autocad LT 2020 Tutorial

In this Autocad tutorial, I show you the measure tool which can be found under the Home ribbon in the Utilities section. this tutorial is made using Autocad LT 2020.

The measure tool allows you to quickly measure your geometry compared to the Dimension command which will create a dimension element.

Just make sure that the Units in your drawing are set to either "Architectural" or "Engineering" to allow the Measure tool to show values in inches and feet.

thanks for this video, it was super helpful! If I'm only trying to measure a portion of a line (say two thirds of the line or an arbitrary amount), is it possible with the measure distance tool also? and does it work for curved lines?

You keep measuring vertical and horizontal lines what about angled lines?
