I’ve got four tie down points in mine. Moving 500kg is like you’ve got nothing in the tray. Tows great. If you’re not planning on taking it serious off-roading then this is a great option. Wheel articulation and no rear diff are let downs for a top of the line Ute.

Should have been Colorado LTZ against Ranger XLT. The Z71 is more aimed at Wildtrak territory.

Great review.. I have a Ranger Limited myself and a Hilux SRV at work in the oil industry in Argentina .. Definitely the most capable utes. Toyota still rules for work reliability and Ranger is the most convenient for personal use. Amarok still lacks toughness, they don't last much on the industry without issues . Would love to get my hands on the v6 though!!

I own a 2017 hilux 3.0 in Nicaragua, a non Global Diesel market, all of these utes are nice, it's a matter of taste. Like everything out there if you really want to make it yours you'll have to spend some money, on mines I have a front bull bar, wind deflector, black fender trim, roll bar, mud guards, side steps, tonneau cover, bed cover, still have more things to buy, work in progress

Great review guys thank you - you are 100% correct about the Colorado Z71; i got one about 6 weeks ago and it fantastic - it has more comfort and power than the Ranger & Hilux but i was gobsmacked when i went to transport some furniture and IT HAS ONLY GOT 2 TIE DOWN POINTS???? I JUST DONT GET WHO AT HOLDEN SIGNS OFF ON THIS STUFF...? anyway and more to the point 100% correct; the Z71 is a show pony and perfect for the non tradie like me but choose one of the others if wanted a serious work Ute - good review!

All trucks are ok. But if you can buy it, strongly recomend Amarok, it has the Cayene engine, technology, power. Confort And a premium class interior.

ps yes; why do all the motoring site forget to that the mention the Hilux fails the moose test (roll over test) again....? that was a serious deal breaker for me..!!
