Thanks very much for that explanation on tone break with the legend. I was totally confused on what a tone break actually did, And how adjusting the tone break made the difference between finding gold and missing it.. but your video answered a lot of my questions! Love your videos! 👍

All my years detecting I've come to understand that necklaces, rings and other gold jewelry will hit on different numbers on any machine depending how much gold it is. 10k, 14k, 18, 24, gold items will have alloys in them. It will not be pure gold. 14k only has 58% gold and the other part is 42% alloy. 18k is 75% gold and 25% alloy, to me it's one of those hit and miss deals!! It's like you said, it all depends on what settings you are running on that day. Good info video Jeremy, I'm still learning my Legend, and I do have all my profiles set up on different settings for each

Amazing explanation 👏 . You got me into Metal Detecting 4 years ago, and i still, and always will check your reviews on detectors. Before i make a decision to buy one. Amazing, thank you Jeremy

I wish I lived near you man so i could go out with you and learn some of this stuff with you. I just went out yesterday, forst time in about 5 months. I did ok, but need to know my Legend better. Your videos are great, great job explaining things

Hey. Just a thought on the small gold chain. You can’t get to test properly. Turn your stability from 5 to 3.

That little sniper coil should be a very nice edition to the legend.. The tight frequency wave of that small coil should get a good read on that fine jewelry near the surface...

Have you tried the hidden Stability setting for small gold items? Dilek has a video explaining that if you set it to 1, you can detect them. The more you turn it up, the more chance you will miss those small gold items. I wasn’t sure if the tone break settings you were explaining was the Stability setting.

My old Whites pulse inductor surf master with a 950 coil will find a small part of even a thin chain. Detectors don't see the chain as it's mass. They see each little link unless it's balled up when it hits a little better. So it's like seeing small pieces of slaw

I'm thinking a 10x7 coil would be killer for the Legend !!

Did all of your chains pass the magnet test? I have several that say 14k Italy and the magnet sucks them up.

So I watched this, and went and played with the settings on mine, went to my fave spot and got an old gold zippo 😀😀
