Coastin' Thru Europe Episode 4: BonBon-Land

This might be one of the weirdest parks in the world! BonBon-Land is primarily known for being home to the Dog Fart coaster, as well as the worlds first Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter- but the park can mainly be defined by the sheer amount of quirky statues sprinkled throughout the park, certainly making for a strange and bizarre atmosphere!

All the strange statues are known in Denmark from the BonBon candy bags, which became famous for it's weird names and the often kinda bizarre images of creatures on the packaging. Some of the different candy includes stuff like Dog Farts, Sea Gull Droppings, Sewage Sludge, Ear Wax, Rotten Fish, Pee Diapers, Big Boobies etc. It all got real popular real fast in the 90s, so obviously they decided to make this theme park.

I mean, elephant slides where the trunk is the slide are a dime a dozen. Or giraffes or something. Turning the elephant's _ears_ into the slide, that's some premium out-of-the-box thinking.

Saw: The Ride is another eurofighter that is considerably smoother in the back row. I had to cut my trip short after the headache that came from a front row ride.
Nemesis Inferno is the smoothest (and best) ride at Thorpe…….. I said it!

Sarah playing with the balloon and then going star wars was somehow most appropriately extra amusing for an interesting park (it could really just use a new better coaster, though maybe the eurofighter could be the first converted to no shoulder harnesses if they can go that and not cost the price of a whole new coaster). Like the dog far thing is HILARIOUSLY RANDOM and the mouth statues remind me of the one scene from 1990 TMNT where you can see the guy in the donatello costume opening the mouth too much when Ralphael is shown to be ok at the farmhouse. If you don't know what I am talking about for the latter, it's easy enough to find. Over and out.
