How to deal with the Warpers in Subnautica

Always when you are going somewhere where they are likely to be, carry spare health packs, you will lose some life! Be the agressor, once you are out of your PRAWN go for them with your knife. They hate it and will leave and watch from a distance. Don't forget to top up your health right away though!

ok so my strategy if you encounter one is just.. attack first, start the battle before they do. hit em once and they skedaddle

I'm trying to kill one right now and it's actually ridiculously hard, you can only ever hit them once or twice before they warp. Usually once in prawn suit, 1-2 times with knife, and even if you stasis rifle stun them they can still warp out :/

I was in the ILZ and got killed by a warper. then i was exiting the thermal plant and again died by a warper. Thanks for this guide, didnt think of it. Time to get some filtered water and go back there...

If you fast enough try to attack them before they aggro on you that's what I've been doing in the prawn suit, id go to them before they come after me and hit them to get them to leave

So im just unlucky then.

I have done this every time i encounter a warper except when i stasis rifle them first and they always come back after me.

Smh, you can kill them with the Seamoth Defense System or with the Repulsion Cannon and acid mushrooms!

He kept coming back after twenty seconds or so and would teleport away after two hits. Couldn't kill it.

A warper warped my seamoth to the middle of the alien bridge in mountain island. There's no way to get it back. I'm in immense pain

I’m playing obviously in later patches but I’ve tried attacking them, they kinda just warp out warp in and kill me anyways

Does it actually go away untill a new one spawns or does it just teleport away like 30 meters so I will encounter it again and again?
