This is the most accurate Square available!

Today, I got some new Squares from UJK. Although I normally do not often place a post on new products companies send me, I am so impressed that I just want to share my enthusiasm.

These squares, even the big ones, are accurate according to the DIN 875/00 norm, which is lap quality and normally used as a reference to test other tools for accuracy.
That UJK can create this kind of accuracy in these numbers and quality tells something about the company.

As I tell you in the video, a square like Woodpeckers and INCRA and other brands that produce according to DIN 875/2 are accurate enough. So, you definitely do not take the easy road to set the bar so high for yourself as a tool maker.

For the same price you can get the Benchdogs 450mm square, which has MFT mounts. I’m not knocking UJK but other squares are available and BD is top quality

Is a there a fairly inexpensive and small (150mm) square for the european market to recommend? It doesn’t have to be dead accurate, just good enough for a hobbyist and weekend diyer.

The only UJK tool I have bought was the "Precision mitre fence" - it was HOPELESS. The fence rotates around a bolt with a lot of slop - and the detent is also sloppy. So the most critical features of the design were not done competently at all. I had to make my own bushing to take out the slop. Pretty orange anodising is nice for marketing, but an accurate pivot would be better. So I very much doubt that they are capable of making anything to DIN 875/00). Sadly, there are too many marketing folk in charge and hardly any engineers in these companies.

Benchdogs uk make a good carpenter square but are nowhere near the quality of Ujk. I just received a ruler with a sing in the side. Unusable. But their carpentry square is lovely.
