Yea we love him here in the USA, especially with a whole new generation learning about and appreciating him since the release of the Hamilton play.

My Ancestor was with George. Washington at Valley Forge and Saratoga. Loved this program and know it must of given hope to my Great grandfather he was 18. God Bless America

I hope there will be a documentary on Adrienne as well. Her devotion and strength of character must be deserving of at least as much recognition as Lafayette's headstrong accomplishments.

One of the most outstanding biography, I have ever come across. I love and respect his passion. I hope you make one on Marcus Agrippa, I feel like he is very underrated

Twenty years prior to the events chronicled here, American colonists, including George Washington, were fighting with the British against the French and their Indian allies. That's how fast the dial of history can change.

Lafayette is buried in the Picpus cemetery with the handful of American soil he had brought back. The US flag flies above his tomb. It is said that the flag remained even when the US were at war with Germany and France was occupied by the Germans.

his ideals of the people and freedom but with a monach, that model was in britain, democracy was with parliament with a crown figure head.but he hated britain .he could of played a bigger role, but had one foot in each camp. he should of stayed in america.

arguably, the result of being so naivete is the only thing holding back the view of being an opportunist who'd do anything to get his results

So Lafayette was only 20 years old during the American revolution. Somehow I invisioned him as somewhat older. Most of the English and american generals were old fahtz.
