There is no gaffe when you dealing with a guy who is not normal. Putin does not deserve preferential treatment just because he is the leader of a country. Joe Shmoe murderer isn't told "Please don't do that again" and then given a free pass. He is put in the slammer or worse. The same should be applied to Putin and his gang of thugs. Just ask the Ukranians who have to deal with dead bodies littering their streets. I don't think they are having academic discussions about what to do with Putin and company.

Normally I am inclined to support 'the media', but NBC and others obsession with Biden"s closing comment - which they are taking out of context - is taking away from the real story here.

I'm an American living in Europe. The inflation problem is World-Wide. While I have concerns about Biden, he's not responsible for gas/oil or inflation. He can do some small changes to offer some relief, but bottom line is inflation won't disappear overnight.
