So far all real world battery tests on the 6K Pro the NP-F570 gives between 58 min and 62 min with screen at 100% and 6K recording. I'd say that was a huge improvement over my 4K.

Tee Pocket 6k Pro needs nothing so thats kinda not true.
1. Dont need v lock batteries
2. Dont need external monitor
3. Dont need external audio recorder
4. Dont need rails or shoulder rig
5. Dont need Mattebox
6. Dont need ND filters

Regarding the no auto focus being mentioned in this video. It's called the pocket cinema camera. So it's kinda like a mini cinema camera where you're manually pulling focusing like real full sized cinema guess.

I love my regular 6K but for what you’re doing a mirrorless is more convenient. For me it’s best to have both because sometimes I want amazing image quality over convenience

I don't know of any video photographer that only carries one battery. If you want 5 hours of video shooting than you need multiple batteries my man for any camera, sony, canon, etc.

It’s sad that I started making short YouTube movies in 2008 when I was 12 but people have surpassed me because of depression and now I’m unemployed while other people who started way after me are way ahead of me. It’s also sad that my parent spent nearly £3, 000 on a canon XH A1 camera for me when I was 13 and it all went to waste.

So you prefer the image of the R6 over BMPCC 6k Pro?

Tom thank you so much for this video. I cant decide on what cam im buying and I need help.

So, heres' my list of final considerations: (again I don't care about resolution, I just want the coolest colors, and the easiest run and gun/handheld/post production/least tinkering required set up (with a 70-200 canon (IS), an onboard shotgun, and monitor)

BMPCC6k PRO: the image looks so nice and the braw file sizes seem manageable. It's also so much cheaper than anything else and the menus just seem so simple. I'm mainly worried about stabilizing at 200mm/ and if I will be annoyed with rigging it out every time.

C70: Its pretty expensive without having raw. Unless you think I can get the same gritty image on this as I can with the bmpcc 6k pro?!

S1h/a7s ii/ fx6: these all seem similar. the former two I get IBIS and I've been told that will help. I guess I've fallen victim to believing in the 'sony look' and I for sure want something a bit more filmic. But tell me if im wrong.

Komodo: I guess I could just sack up and get the komodo as I will probably have this camera for the next few years.

Again, I've been making due with my current sony a7s ii and shitty old 70-200 vivitar and stabilizing with a shoulder strap, but its time to upgrade to a better image.

Thank you so so so much

And when I think I had already wrapped up my mind, there you come with a new perspective 😅. I've working with a Lumix G81 for the last 3 years and I want to get a new A camera. I was thinking about the lumix GH5, since I'm already using micro 4/3 or the bmpcc 4k. I do content creation and have started to make short films. What do you would be a better fit? Extrem fast autofocus isn't must, since I work mostly in manual focus anyway (lumix makes you learn that 😁). Thanks for the answer!

lol battery life is great on the 6K Pro not the same on the 4k and 6k. You dont have real world usage because you dont have one. I do bro and I got over and hour. BM batteries are 3500mah higher than any other Ive seen on the market

Hey Tom super interesting hearing your thoughts on the 4K...I was considering picking one up for my freelance work but I've come from Canon so by the time I've added a speedbooster on it becomes pretty pricy and autofocus is a pretty big must for me...was considering going the Sony route...maybe the A6600...would love to hear your thoughts on something around this price point?

The Sony battery supplied by blackmagic last for about 70 minutes. You need to buy hig rating ones.

BMPCC is a cinema camera - shouldn't have autofocus and yes cinema cameras need to be rigged out.

Blackmagic cameras are way too advanced for what I need but I agree with why it doesn’t work for you! Battery life on the XT3 is 😬😬😬 and autofocus is super useful! Wow!!! The battery life on you C200 is OP! Awesome video Tom!!! 😁

Should also address the data tech you will need to buy for it to operate at its max settings.

Since I'm a total beginner, all these Blackmagic cameras are nothing for me.
Still watched the whole thing, because of a gear video from Tom 😁😇
