In this tutorial you will learn how to install free ssl certificate in cpanel or cpanel based web hosting. To install free SSL certificate SNI should be enabled on your server or webhost. SNI is 'Server Name Identification' and it's an extension to the TLS (Transport Layer Security) computer networking protocol.

Most cPanel based Web hostings offer free SSL certificates that renews automatically. By free SLL certificate we mean 'Let's Encrypt' that is free and automated open certificate authority.

Let's Encrypt SSL certificate expires after every 3 months and it needs renewal. cPanel automates renewal process and you have to install SSL certificate just one time. After that it renews itself automatically. It covers single domain or subdomain. So if you have got multiple domains and sub-domains, you need a separate Let's Encrypt SSL certificate for each domain and sub-domain.

When you buy web hosting, make sure it supports Let's Encrypt free certificate. SSL certificate is a must for website because without it, web browsers give warning of website not being secure. Also Google will prefer your website if it has got SSL certificate. SSL certificate makes a website secure.

Without SSL certificate web browser gives warning that connection to this website may not be secure. I will show you how to install Let's Encrypt free SSL Certificate in cpanel.

Thanks man!
You save my day today. I've done a lot to get this ssl without knowing that all I need is just a simple clicks on my Cpanel.
I did it and it worked. Thanks again.

Thanks man! Some hosts look a little different; like the ones using the Direct Admin cPanel. This was very helpful, because when I activated it, I did it like this but was still unsure if that was the way to do it. I noticed that mine has a "Force SSL" box as an option. Is this necessary from your experience?
