She's a *beautiful* bird! There were many just like it in the UK during the 1948-49 Soviet surface blockade of Berlin.

Good to know the greatest B-29 is still alive

I love the B29, many of my fellow Brits will no doubt prefer the Lancaster, but the Boeing was a new generation.

Beautiful aircraft all polished up… with such a contrasting history

I saw that aircraft in the Smithsonian. It gave me the creeping heeby-jeebies.

When you say perfectly restored does that mean it is airworthy

Some day I hope she can fly again. As a reminder. To get peace, sometimes, it takes violence.

Such an iconic warbird should be on display for decades to come. It is nice to know that "Doc" and "Fifi" are once again flying! Maybe more B-29s will be restored to flyworthy condition.

Well, they left off the controversy of displaying the nose and cockpit in the main Air & Space Museum in 1995 for the 50th anniversary, as well as the consequences to Hiroshima. I guess this is the kind of video the veterans' groups wanted: no victims, no questioning the necessity of dropping the bomb, and no talk of the Cold War from 1945-1991.

Originally the B-29 didn't have the capacity to hold "little boy", only the Lancaster did!

When gay actually meant "happy" instead of the garbage pushed nowadays

I'm surprised that the democrats haven't demanded that the plane be dismantled and destroyed.
