The post-credit scene where the portal opened and Mark Kermode stepped through left me shook

“People playing around in the rubble of avengers endgame” is a lovely little bit of poetry tbh

😂 The bit about Mark interviewing himself and Simon doing it back to him was great.

It’s gold plated fan service.

Either you want to be serviced or you don’t.

Personally I was extremely well serviced.

Simon Mayo's response on hearing "multiverse" exactly mirrors my own whenever I hear that word

Hugh Jackmans acting was brilliant. Especially the car scene where he's telling Deadpool what he thinks of him

My son works at our local cinema, the midnight opening showing had to be paused before it began due to the unprecedented volume of punters....this will make a lot of money.

I love this movie. What I took it as is a love letter to films no one remembers fondly.

I will always think of this movie as "Rhubarb and Custard".

Idk how much more winking at the audience franchise sludge I can process

I look forward to Mark and Simon still having to do this when they're in their eighties.

To say Reynolds, Jackman and Levy didn't care about making the movie is a bit bizarre given it's very clearly been a passion project for all of them. Ryan Reynolds is really the only reason a Deadpool movie franchise even exists.

I thought the film had some clear issues but it was ultimately a blast. I think we live in a fairly remarkable time where a movie so squarely aimed at a comic book audience, which requires such a vast amount of knowledge to fully understand, will likely end up the highest grossing R rated movie of all time. And hey, the beauty of this stuff is that if you're like me, you can rewatch and adore Lost Highway one night, and then see and enjoy this movie the next.

I genuinely loved it, yes it’s a little overlong and it’s very, very on the nose, but that’s the point! It’s Deadpool… as a self confessed ‘Nerd’ I loved all the cameos, studio bashing etc… We bash studios all the time when we feel they ‘F’ up. I’m writing a reply to a segment on a channel that has done its fair share of studio bashing…
I do care about these characters and it was great to see lost versions reintroduced in ‘The Void’ (Loki season 1) and given a chance to shine once again… I gleefully applauded, laughed got a tiny bit teary and mouth dropped several times throughout…

And now for something completely different… what’s your opinion on ‘Man Bites Dog’

The idea that Furiosa bombed and this will probably do pretty well make me so sad

They had a blooming film called Endgame! It was a critical and commercial success, it successfully closed out a huge unweildy narrative, gave a nice ending for Evans and Downey Junior and.... and.... it was called Endgame!

You had the chance to end things with everyone feeling positive about the MCU, but the Fantasia brooms can't be stopped

It’s a great point that the film is literally characters picking through the bones and scraps of the superhero genre. Much more a final eulogy for the MCU than any great reinvigoration.

7:42 we get a "here's A thing", not the official "here's THE thing"...

As a fan of this universe, it was great. Can understand why non comic book fans will hate it
