Why England is better than Canada (coming from a Canadian)

I get a lot of questions about whether I like England more (where I'm currently living) or Canada (where I was born and raised). Both countries have their pros and cons so I figured it would be an interesting topic! Here's why England is better than Canada (coming from a Canadian!)

This week I'll go over why I like England more than Canada. In a few weeks I'll do the reverse and explain why I like Canada more :)

As an Englishman it's fascinating to hear what other people think of our country. It's easy when you were born somewhere to only see the bad things of the country. But hearing others praise it makes me realise we're actually quite lucky.

Us British are always using self depreciating humour and putting ourselves down, so its nice to hear the good bits we might take for granted. There will always be a welcome place for our Canadian cousins here.

I'm Bosnian, who moved to Canada 24 years ago. I visited London in 2017. I found the Brits to be forward, warm, honest, welcoming. Anyone who calls the British "cold" baffles me. I found the British to be rather warm compared to us in North America. And more honest somehow. No fake smiles in stores when you go into a store. The interactions are more genuine than those we experience in Canada with strangers.

Whenever I listen to you I learn something new about my own country. Your observation about the differences between places that are relatively close to each other is so true. I'd never really considered it before, despite seeing it almost every day. Excellent video.

This was really interesting to watch as I was born and raised in England and moved to Canada! For me Canada wins hands down, but I guess we just prefer a different setting from what we are used to! Loved watching this! xx

I hate it when people think you can't say England or English anymore I'm sorry but I'm from England i am English, if your from Scotland and say your Scottish there's nothing wrong with that even though it's still in great Britain/ the UK, honestly it blows my mind, i don't mean to rant but it's just annoying, great video though ☺
