Different Strokes Studio

We are a Dance School based in Thane since November 2003 started by Nakul Ghanekar and till date we have trained more than 4000 students right from Thane, Dadar, Andheri, Dombivali and up to Karjat.

Different Strokes (DSS) is one such school of its kind where various forms of dance such as Salsa, Kathak, Hiphop, Bollywood, Zumba, Contemporary, Bachata, Western freestyle, Belly dancing are being taught in the purest of their forms.

DSS has been a part of various events and shows which are a varied combination of the Indian and the Western elements of dance with a variety like Classical, Folk-Lavani, Fusion, Belly Dance, Bollywood, Salsa, Contemporary, Bachata, Hip hop on both Indian as well as Western tracks.

Promoting Performing arts for people in and around Thane is one of the Goals of DSS. Over the last decade, DSS has become a hub of activities and a way of Life for our students of all age groups ranging from 6 to 65 years. The repertoire of students at DSS is a wide range from IT professionals, Doctors, Engineers, C.As, Housewives, College & School students.

We are the first school to start the concept of Salsa Nite for the first time in Thane. DSS Salsa Nites started since May 2008 and hence are the longest running Salsa Nites without a break. DSS is proud to be the only Dance School in Maharahstra to have accomplished this landmark.

Workshops conducted at DSS Salsa Nites is one of the major attractions for all students. Most of our students continue with our dance training sessions, Salsa nights, Performances, Meetings as a part of their recreational and stress busting activities.
