I. Sin is very complicated

III. Sin never frustrates God or His purposes
A. The sin of Isaac and his family did not frustrate God’s purposes
B. The sin of Joseph’s brothers did not frustrate God’s purposes
C. The sin of Judas did not frustrate God’s purposes
IV. Practical Truths
A. God’s sovereignty / providence guarantees His work will not be thwarted – not just in the larger unfolding plan, but in my life as a believer (Romans 8:28-30)
B. God allows things for a reason, and both He and His plans are good.
C. God’s sovereignty / providence gives a believer security against all threats (Romans 8:31-39)
D. God's sovereignty and providence lead us to praise Him for the assured blessings we have in Christ (Ephesians 1:3-14)
E. God's sovereignty and providence drive us to pray for His purposes, rather than being consumed by fear
F. God's sovereignty and providence inspire prayers of praise for His unmatched power (Daniel 2:20-23)
