15 years ago, he didn't get that contract, he didn't get that call up. 15 years ago, WCW sunk and he had to fight, for everything. Cena, a bodybuilder got a call up, developed in UPW, moved on to OVW and was on our televisions within a year, feuding with Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho, meanwhile AJ Styles was putting a fledgling company full of rejects on the map, while still touring the globe.
After 15 years, Cena is now a 15 time world champion in WWE, and AJ Styles is a world renown, widely respected journeyman in this industry.
AJ Should tap into his resentment in this feud, rather than just being a heel fed to Cena for the sake of a main event. Maybe explain to the casuals WHY this is indeed a "dream match". WWE doesn't need to mention that little blip on the map of wrestling history down in Orlando by name, but from 2002-2013, AJ was their top guy.
