Hi!

How should we name this character?

This is a comfy Art Process video in which I want to design a new character and create a reference sheet! He will be part of the same universe as Rin, so let’s do try to make some art!

I don't follow any specific rules, just having fun exploring a new OC. So see it as comfy and carefree sketching session and "Draw with me" :)
Also, sadly my CSP brush isn't available anymore so I linked a different brush here which I will use as well in the video.

oh rin’s gonna be absolutely delighted to have a gorgeous companion :D also, the red black and white palette for characters is just peak color combo imo, like they just can’t look anything short of fabulous 😩 i thought of Shion as a possible name, i think it’s associated with grace and charm that he really seems to embody :D

Name ideas: 1. Shin. means “real, genuine.” 2. Ryū, means "Dragon" (would be cool cuz of the red/black color palette) 3. Yuto, means “excellence, superiority” and to “soar, fly.”

I absolutely LOVE the new OC. The color palette is just chef's kiss! Love seeing the brainstorming behind the finished design. Love the idea of him dyeing his hair. I find that the white suits him, tho I am biased ><.

Oooh I love the new OC! I can't wait to see some illustrations with the two of them together! He seems to give off a fancy, European vibe to me, so the first name I thought of was Alexandre. 🤣Russian and German names always sound very cool to me, and he's giving that vibe for some reason. Plus, since he's a counterpart to Rin, I think he would suit a long, fancy name.
