Good explanation. Sliding is most beneficial in really tight turns where you can't keep a relatively high cornerspeed, otherwise more controlled braking and a more controlled chassis deliver a higher cornerspeed.

Hey Mike. I have to admit how good content you have in your videos. Really useful stuff.

I recently switch onto supermoto. Downshifting, braking both brakes and keeping good body position, line etc. Is still challenging. Could you perhaps prepare some material specifically about braking, downshifting and approaching a corner on this kind of bikes?

I ended up spending the whole day yesterday practicing using all the braking potential of the front. I think it’ll be a few days out at the track before I can really integrate the rear brake in with full front brake.

The rear brake is for two things. Brake skids and bringing wheelies down.
