They are not "socialist" programs...they are social programs...meaning they are paid for with taxation from privatization. The term "socialist" derives from socialism, meaning that the means of production is own by the public, not by private ownership. You can't tax in socialism because it's a moot point to tax one's own ownership.

Many of the people who received the recent $1200 stimulus check but don't like socialism should mail their checks back to the government.

Social security and Medicare are insurance we pay into. Through our taxes. Not socialist. Smh
