At least the first game made some sense. You were somewhat playing through the story of the first film.
Meanwhile in the second game they compleately change the story, if not just remove it, and make you fight giant SOTC style bossfights.
The first Lego Movie game is imo a masterpiece, that showed the story in a way that was also fun to play! For example, the final fight is changed from Emmet in his mech trying to get to the giant brick to stop Lord Business, you get a bossfight against a bigger version of the glue-bots, and Kitty goes into Rage Mode to allow two player to play at once!

I like the game, but I agree with some of your points. Unikitty clipping through the wall and getting stuck cracked me up, because that happened to me once before in that level. This game is very buggy... One of the levels in the Wild West world had my allies trying to grab onto a zipline to get to the platform Emmet was standing on, but they kept falling off... This has happened almost every time I played that level, and I only got through out of sheer luck.

This is a really good review for your first time. I hope that you create more videos like this, as I found it very informative and helpful in my decision on whether or not to buy the game

Well, I'll just stick with LEGO Marvel heroes and LEGO City Undercover. This game seems like the boring scenario I got when I played the original LEGO Starwars...I don't care for that game. LEGO games need to be about building with LEGOS not following some pre-determined script or running on rails.

"Emmett is not a master builder" 

I don't know if you finished the game or not, but you unlock Emmett as a master builder at the end. ( OK fine, it is sad hes not a master builder during the story )

And another thing, "long load times"

The load times are like 10 seconds long. Go get a better Xbox... I have like 150 gigs left of space and it works completely  fine for me.


Honestly, Yes, I do agree with the worlds being small and it was a little disappointing. I hate when the game glitched and I had to restart the WHOLE level.


Some of the achievements are REALLY easy. That's another reason why I love it. Just so I can get some good Gamer Score.


And cheat codes. Their's only 3 out right now. But I found all the red bricks so it's fine.


Honestly, I hate how you have to find a leg station to put lord business's  legs on.


Kids would give this a 10/10


Teens would give this a 8/10


Adults would give this a 6/10 ( depending if you're a Lego fan or not )

Now, I don't know if you're a adult or kid.


But if your a adult... of course it Might be a bad rating..

If you're a little kid, I don't think kids care about the space of the world, and things like that. Mostly, a kid who liked the Lego movie, would probably  get the game no matter what. And enjoy it anyway, if that Kid was some creepy Lego fan.


I would give the game a 8/10

I liked how they used cut scenes from the movie, But I got free tickets to the movie with my purchase of the game, even though I already saw it. Logic Lego Much?


I agree how you say Emmett doesn't feel like a main character. I agree just a little bit. To me it looked like wyldstyle was the main character at some points.


Over all the game was OK.
Kids would love it.
Parents would be like Eh I don't like legos ( xD )

I didn't like how in some cutscenes it would stop when the best part was about to happen ( stop to start level )

It was sad to me that there was 15 levels. I beat the game in under 24 Hours.

80% Game Completion in under 48 hours.

I know there's extra stuff, I just feel like there needs to be more.

I agree with this review. In my opinion, this game doesn't have the charm that the other lego games have. It feels almost like a ripoff of a normal lego game, at least that's how it feels to me. Still, I've played worse games so I may still try to beat it, at least once. It's still a chill game after a long day, probably on mute with Spotify playing in the background lol

Man I've tried to get into the LEGO games and I can't seem to get into them. I got the LoTR game cause i loved the movies and read the book a bunch of times... but it still got boring to me.  Guess I should try this?  I loved the movie...

Dayum shame, though I'm not surprised it didn't translate well as movie games typically try to add hidden scenes or are typically limited to what is seen. A game that takes place post movie would've been better. I quite enjoyed Lego Marvel, minus the weak combat it was pretty decent. Pro tip to "Tt" games, make it play like battletoads (nes) with lego. Playing it safe will only continue this pattern of sameness.

you cant build "what you want" because everything is inside the box. certain lego is script to build that certain things. i cant build a plane, a car or a house right out of the blue from lego i destroy. not gonna work since everything is inside the box and you can only build certain things that the game allow you because it is script that way.

sometimes I can't stand reviewers everyone's always like "the game was good but legs games are all the same nowadays they gotta try something New!" then when they do you're all like "ugh! they flopped there worlds are too small!!" whatever we have massive lego worlds for ALL the other lego games and no doubt for future games too! we can't have it all our own way!!! sure INDIVIDUALLY the worlds are small as hell but there are four. the creators didn't have
a) the time
b) the budget to build
