::Tips from the Comments Section::
SchergeSatans - "...if you encounter a Magrider: just approach it from the front as fast as possible, then drive under it. That will confuse them and give you the opportunity to hit them in the vulnerable back once you pop out in the other side."

TheReal Cheezburger - "anti tank mines are not highlighted through thermal or nightvision that would be another point for driving with 3rd person"

ImAzraa - "...when you have to recap a point dont leave a high-value vehicle exposed. IF you are the only one there, hop down but leave it away from your position. IF NOT, then stay in and provide spotting/suppressive fire to the one recapping."

ShadetheDruid - "look where the hell you're going! I've lost track of the amount of times i've been run over by friendlies because they just don't pay attention"

MrVisco1 - "if you press the Page Down button while in a vehicle or aircraft you will get the vehicle options menu that lets you lock the vehicle for some people and kick people."

Vehrein - "A tip for (mostly upgraded) turbo is to tap the key you use only slightly more than the minimum requirement for activating it. This gives you a small boost that while not significant, leaves about half (or less than half if you're not fully upgraded in a Magrider and it doesn't regenerate proper) fuel to engage another boost. This can be useful as it allows you to split the turbo up into two sections instead of keeping them in one faster (but more easily predictable) line."

John Hudson - "When in a lightning or main battle tank and you are facing the front of your tank, the controls for turning when going in reverse are switched. To avoid this and be able to retreat more effectively, simply turn your turret around to face your flank and then the turning keys will be the same as if you are facing forward."

john slatter - "look both ways on and off road"

gregfox - "If you're VS, bind Look Left and Look Right (in vehicle keybinds) to mouse buttons. (by default it's arrow keys. This controls your turret rotation on most vehicles, but since the magrider's gun is fixed, it spins the tank at maximum speed."

Matthew Wilson - "If you want to stop sliding on a slope, say if you want to shoot at something while on a hill, you can often stop your slide simply by releasing the gas and not touching the brake or forward keys."

Xilent Assassin - "You can zoom out/in your minimap using the [ ] keys when your flying as this gives you more of a heads up as to the position of other ESF's that could be possible threats. Also pressing H gives you a nice big map so in combo with a slightly zoomed out map while flying you can have the benefits of seeing other ESF's that don't have stealth from far away as well as seeing the accurate positions of shooting infantry."

TheOblomoff - "When beginning to spin out on a flash/sunderer, turn in the direction it spins out - you'll be able to regain control of it."

I have two tips of my own I can share:

- Never, ever, ever do what Wrel did at the beginning of this video. You will not survive it.

- The surface of Auraxis is coated in a thick layer of Vaseline. Do not expect your exceptionally heavy tank or APC to gain any sort of traction on any kind of slope from a standstill- and if you're sliding down a hill, may God be with you, because physics won't.

I'm surprised this didn't come up but it is a good tip that when in a Magrider, you can climb up really steep hills by pointing perpendicular to the slope, strafing towards it and repeatedly turning left and right, lease note this only works for Magriders, if you do it with a Prowler or something else you will look silly and you won't get anywhere

If you're driving a flash, or a sunderer that is going wobbly down a steep hill, hold or tap S. This won't slow down the vehicles at all, but on the flash especially your character will sit his ass down and your flash feels like it gets a lower centre of gravity, making it stick its wheels to the ground better and a safer decent.

I was into your sunderer, RobotUnicornAttack, in Ceres hydroponics, it was a pleasure to meet you in person.

Just a tip, now that composite armor is nerfed badly, using stealth really increase your survive skill because you can hide behind objects and even get into the back of enemy tanks without appearing on the minimap.

If you're VS, bind Look Left and Look Right (in vehicle keybinds) to mouse buttons. (by default it's arrow keys. This controls your turret rotation on most vehicles, but since the magrider's gun is fixed, it spins the tank at maximum speed. Combine this with magburner and strafe keys and you can do some crazy shit. Definitely a MUST for close quarters combat. (have a gunner too, obviously)

Which driving in a vehicle at night and when near a lot of friendlies, turn on your headlights so they see you.

Here's a cool trick: to do a triple 360 flip in a flash, drive along a straight road.

As a fairly new player to Planetside 2 (yes I know im late to the party), your videos have been a great source of study and have made a huge difference to my game play...  I just wish I could drag some friends over to play it with me.

When in a lightning or main battle tank and you are facing the front of your tank, the controls for turning when going in reverse are switched. To avoid this and be able to retreat more effectively, simply turn your turret around to face your flank and then the turning keys will be the same as if you are facing forward. This also keeps your tougher front armor facing the enemy instead of turning and exposing your weaker rear armor.

The backing up into a wall to get a boost start i use in about every single driving game and have never seen or heard about anyone using it haha but your obviously the man and already know

Awesome point on the shifting. I looked into it some more, here:

Planetside 2: Shifting your vehicles for faster acceleration

Turns out they all have 3 speed transmissions (except the Sunderer, which has 4)

One more tip regarding jumping and hillclimbing with harraser for those who are new to them. Say you're about to jump over a wall using sloped rock, or you want to climb a hill, DO NOT use turbo to gain momentum before you get to the slope, instead wait until you get to the slope and activate then, it overrides your forward momentum. If you are jumping hold it while airborne, it will give you more air, but if you're hillclimbing use part of it right at the beginning of slope but keep some so when you are almost at the to but have lost most of your momentum you can use it to get the job done.

Something that I have found to be very useful is to use the continued movement of the flash for cover when I hop out. It's a great tactic if you're getting shot at from the side and don't have time to line up a shot with the mounted gun.

A little Tip about Magriders:
Magriders use Thrusters to move. Thrusters are seperate Units for "foreward" "left/right" and "back". The forward thruster is the strongest, but (especially when climbing steep hills) you will get more power if you use two of those thruster-units at the same time.
This means: If you dont manage to climb a hill by pressing "forward", try it with "forward" + "left" and crawl up sideways. Unfortunatly this only gives you more power, not more speed.
This is an effect that happens in a lot of games.

One thing I learned fairly early on while gaming is that players tend to shoot at anything that's large and fast moving, especially if it appears suddenly. Couple this with the fact that vehicles retain their last movement command and you can create some pretty amusing distractions with a flash by gunning the throttle and turning slightly immediately before jumping off. More often than not, players will follow the movement of the flash rather than the rider, which can buy you a couple of seconds to snag a kill or two or escape.

When beginning to spin out on a flash/sunderer, turn in the direction it spins out - you'll be able to regain control of it.
