Literally beat 1 today and I started with 4. 1st DMC I beat was 2 because I was a pea brain child so 1 was hard af and I got lost so 10 years later I finally cave and buy the HD collection.

Long story short I didn't feel at home until I heard those techno riffs lol. I love DMC1 despite Nightmare being the only boss I genuinely struggled with and inverted flight controls. So now I gotta beat 3 lol my brother didn't so I never went back (PS2 memory cards n such)

I remember when dmc was a surviving horror. Like the last levels of the game it went straight to horror. Dmc 2 was the last surviving horror game of dmc. Until dmc3 changed it all.

So I first played this one after playing 3, 4, and 5 And I just watched the cutscenes for this game. Eventually I did play and beat it but I didn't like it for some reason. That was back in January 2021. I went back to replay it a few days ago and I love it now, such a fun game even though it's a bit stiff and simple
