I've been to 167mph ONCE in my Viper. Definitely a vehicle capable of that sustained speed and it was frightening. Being at a constant 140mph is far from an easy feat. The attention and situational awareness needed are almost athletic. On a racetrack it's normal but on roads it's chaotic.

They spent 16.5 times as long doing about 90 on average, on public roads in a god damn Saab.

I’m a 15 year truck driver, I’ve always dreamed of doing a cannonball run… I saw a run go through my town in Ohio once when I was a teen and have been dreaming ever since. I soloed 1900 miles in 28 hours last month with no sleep in my wife’s civic. I love these stories.

I live in AZ and have driven that route through the mountains a number of times. It really is a pure driving experience. The curves and elevation changes. Braking and acceleration, all hitting you relentlessly for miles and miles are easily some of my favorite memories. I know they did it way faster than I ever could, so my hats off to them!
