Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Question Rick, if the dimple pattern is supposed to be better through the air, wouldn’t a simulator test not show the full picture because it’s only measuring launch conditions?

I dont understand why your drives so much better than me, we use the same tees!

Just shot a best 79 with these. Always used pinnacle rush balls. I’m sold. These things stick the greens for me

Dunlop had a ball called Moebius that had a triangle patter. I liked it. If you could find a sleeve it would be cool to see how’d they would compare.

I play the E6 straight ball, and as for the "straight" claim, it'll save you from one degree of trouble. So instead of being out of bounds, you'll be in the deep rough. Instead of deep rough, you'll be in the light rough. Instead of light rough you'll just stay within the fairway. Compared to many many other balls I've tried, E6 makes a tangible difference for me. And yet it still stops well on approach shots and chipping around the green. Surprisingly so for a "game improvement ball" that often spin like rocks.
Of course, if you put an absolutely terrible swing on it, you can still hook it or slice it to kingdom come and lose your ball, it's a good ball but it's not magic 😄

The GC Quad machine is amazing that it can develop so much information in the micro-second of impact and flight for the first few feet. But how does it account for aerodynamic differences in the balls to determine their flight characteristics? I don't believe it can...so two identical construction balls with different dimple patterns could appear to be identical on the GC Quad but vastly different in how high they go and how far they fly. Hitting them out in the real world would be the only way to show if the dimple pattern on the Bridgestone actually works or not.

I got my first hole-in-one with a bridgestone e6 yellow golfball and have always been a fan of them.

As a relatively beginner golfer, I use the Bridgestone e6's. When I get better I will bump up to the better Bridgestones. I love these golf balls...also its probably a bit supersticious, mental, habit for me to play the Bridgestone

You can’t compare this to a tour ball, you have to see the improvement over previous E-12s and their ilk.

Rick, I was one of the testers for this golf ball about a month before it came out and I have to say I was shocked at this balls performance in the wind. I just happened to test this ball on two fairly windy days (15-25mph). The wind could not touch this ball, it absolutely just cut through the air. I am wondering if this technology will go into their Tour line because I currently play the Tour BX and I am seriously considering changing which is bad for Bridgestone because I will now spend less lol.
I know you can’t quite fully test outdoors yet but it’s worry a try when you can because it’s performance in the wind is where it really shines.

I feel they mean it spins more than most "distance" golf balls.

dimple won't really make a difference on a simulator, it matters in real life as it flies through the air

I'm sure these claims of more speed and more spin are as compared to their other "E" series golf balls, not their premium balls. A comparison test against the TM Tour Response or Titleist Tour Soft would be interesting and useful for us to see.

Never been happier to see a ball review from you, until now! Thanks so much!!!

One thing my grandfather always said, rarely will equipment have an effect on where the ball goes, or how far it travels, the biggest factor is the nut in the end of the handle.

I would love to see a review of the Titleist Prestige golf ball. Only sold in Japan and at a higher price point that the ProV1. It performed longer and softer than the ProV1 for me.

Been waiting for this review for over a year. Thank you so much!!! Bridgestone is the best!

"Does it go straighter? No." ...as he belts one directly down the centerline for 98% of the shot at 5:58. lol.

Using the Tiger ball now(previously pro v1). Cheaper and feels softer than the Pro v1, which I like. Reminds me of the Titleist tour balata/professional 90/100 for those old enough to remember them!😂 they are definitely more durable than an old skool balata/pro 90/100!

Rick, thanks for the review and all your content. I normally use a Titleist Velocity and recently switched over to the Bridgestone Contact. I’m a 17 handicap and feel I play better with the “Contact”. My balls seem to go straighter and a couple yards further. I’ve also seen more control around the green. Could you do a head to head between the velocity and the contact?
