Just Watched THE FLASH! Honest Thoughts! | DCU | Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck

We just watched THE FLASH (2023). We were completely blown away by the stunning visuals and overall quality of the film. The movie is directed by Andy Muschietti starring Ezra Miller (Fantastic Beasts, Suicide Squad) as Barry Allen; Michael Keaton (Beetlejuice) as Batman; Ben Affleck (Batman V Superman, The Town, Gone Girl, The Justice League, Air, Argo) as Batman; Sasha Calle (The Young and The Restless) as Supergirl, Michael Shannon (Bullet Train, The Shape of Water) as General Zod.

And after this we have more DCU to look forward to like Aquaman 2: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom starring Jason Momoa (Fast X, Game of Thrones, Dune), more Ben Affleck, Patrick Wilson (Insidious, The Conjuring, Watchmen), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman, Watchmen, Us), Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables, Rocky IV), Temuera Morrison (The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian), Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge, Cold Mountain) and Amber Heard (you know, from that whole court case with Johnny Depp).

We've also got a whole slate of DCU goodness under James Gunn with things such as Superman: Legacy, The Authority, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Swamp Thing, The Batman II and much more!

I am sorry I can't remember the name of the actress who plays Supergirl but saw a interview of her almost in tears saying how much this roll means to her and Henry Cavill walked up to her and said you did a brilliant job and she just broke down .As far as I understand she is a true comic fan in real life and was so scared she would not live up to Cavils legacy so when he gave his approval she just broke dawn .

I really didn't expect that this movie would be so enjoyable. The comedy got me, the emotional pull got me, the story got me. It's far from perfect but I really really like this film.

I am so happy Jaby liked Sasha's Supergirl. That gives me hope that more people will accept her and supergirl gets more prominence in DC that she definitely deserves. Superman is a GOAT but Supergirl deserves some focus too.😅

I saw the movie a few weeks ago and the highlight was Ezra’s performance. It really felt like he was two different people. The younger version was silly and that was the whole point. Micheal Keaton is Elite with his acting and Calle is Really good, I can’t wait to see more from her. The movie gives respect to all DC project and this was a 9/10 for me.

It's gonna be a shame if they just erase Sasha Calle from existence in the DCU. The early reactions point her out as a surprise positive aspect.

I guess mainstream entertainment doesn't show this often/well but the Supergirl character in the comics is at times depicted as being far grittier/angerier than Superman.

I'm just excited to see the og Mr. Keaton in the suit again and on the big screen for the first time in my life. 90% of my viewings of 89' and Returns' has been on vhs growing up.

This Barry Allen never did it for me.

I'd rather see a feature length Keaton/Affleck team up dealing with multiversal consequences 😂

Supergirl is definitely a grittier character in the comics and even other adaptations other than the Arrowverse version where she's basically a genderbent Clark. She still has nuance and is also a hopeful character like her cousin, though

just watched it. i gotta agree with supergirl. when she was first casted i was like ‘wtf that is a bad choice’, and now i am so in. but i still wonder is it because she was so hot or was she actually good? lol

Im sure mt son will love Barry Allen. I have spent 9 years with Gustin though. Even my son said it was weird that it wasnt Gustin.
We dont get early access, and he wants to see it in IMAX. Im still excited. I was 13 when when Batman 89 came out, and we drove to the other side of town to see it in THX. Loved your review.

I have watched all the seasons of The Flash with Grant Gustin as Barry Allen and on that TV show, they have shown all the possible outcomes of the multiverse and frequently messing with the timeline and creating the alternative timeline. I hope I will not get bored with the story. Although this flash has more than that. Hope for the best
