In this episode, we spotlight Edwin Gonzalez, a postdoctoral scientist in R. Graham Cooks Lab in the Department of Chemistry at Purdue University, focusing on advancing analytical chemistry and biothreat detection. Since December 2023, he has been training graduate students in Python for scripting, statistical programming, and machine learning. Louis is involved in multivariate analysis of omics data for government projects and mentors students in presenting data to agencies like DHS and DTRA. He has developed an automated data pipeline app for omics data visualization using Python's Streamlit library. With expertise in analytical chemistry, machine learning, and infectious disease detection, Louis contributes significantly to research and education in his field.
