Cash-strapped seniors

Derek Smith and Maggie Runacres are 80 and 81 respectively and, while they’re blessedly healthy, they're having to work well past retirement age as inflation cuts into their savings.
Derek, a former TV producer, and Maggie, a cook and food presenter, are hoping to produce a new cooking show to sell.
They recently moved from Merrickville to Brockville into a small but cute semi-detached home as it was cheaper.

Thank you both for bringing this reality for seniors to light. It's time Seniors highlighted their struggles in Canada. Costs go up but not our CPP or Old Age to compensate !
