Thank you for your video ! As french people I find that there is an enormous contrast when we learn english at school between rudeness and politeless. Either we learn 19th century English or the famous and frigid "I don't understand." x)
In addition in our own native language, we are not as cold and direct. x)

yes it's true, it's really rare when we learn english (or other language) at the school they learn to us polite sentences and expressions, yet it's very important, and strangely i've never thought of it before, thanks for this vidéo and the others Christina :) your videos help me a lot for re-learn and improve my English, even if i still have again a lot of work for it, my comment is probably full of errors and mistake ^^"

Hey! I've just discovered your channel and I'm really impressed! Your videos are really good and thanks to you, I started to pinpoint some mistakes I do. So for that, thank you!
About this video I was wondering... Does it still stand with friends or family? Because we have the same thing with French language (about the "Sorry?" when you don't quite catch something that someone said or even the "Could you please pass me the plate.?" which is considered the best way to ask something) but we don't pay it as much attention as we should when we are with our close ones. Is it still considered as rudeness for english people?
